Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) named as LIAISE contributing organisation

SD Europe is delighted to confirm that Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has formally become a contributing organisation to our LIAISE project.

LIAISE is unique Erasmus+ collaborative partnership that has brought together a range of stakeholders to focus on the development of the supporter liaison officer (SLO) role in Europe for the first time. These stakeholders include supporters organisations, football associations, football leagues, Uefa and the European Think Tank of Football Safety and Security Experts.

An amendment to the French sports act passed in May 2016 requires professional clubs in the country’s top five team sports to appoint an SLO. LIAISE, therefore, provides an ideal opportunity for the Fédération Française de Football (FFF), LFP and L’Association nationale des supporters (ANS) to learn from best practices and experiences from across Europe.

The project’s second workshop – focusing on the importance of an integrated safety, security and service approach at football matches – will take place in the coming months, with an exchange visit programme between partners also underway.

LIAISE brings together eight football associations and leagues, two national supporters organisations and Football Supporters Europe (FSE) as partners and contributing organisations. For more information about the project’s objectives and activities to date, click here.
